More Songs on the Way and Cdbaby Updates!

Yo!

So, I've been working my butt off in the studio lately with my three great friends: Ryan, Eric, and Wilson and we are close to finishing up some stuff! :D Now, when I say close I mean a few months away, but it's great news, because almost all of the bass and drum tracks are recorded and all that is left to do is...well...still a lot, but drums and bass were a hassle! :) I'll keep you updated, but I will say that I have a few SUPER catchy songs in the works... ;)

For the most recent update:

Cdbaby.com has now updated their website and now allows for SINGLE SONG DOWNLOADS on artist pages! What does that mean for you? Well! If you like my music, but you don't want to buy the entire album, you can just get the song or two (or three!) that you like! It's better for me personally, because then I don't have to deal with iTunes and stuff. Take my word for it, Cdbaby is the way to go! :) Check it out below:

So, for live show updates:

I will be performing with my wonderful friends Eric and Wilson LIVE at Bay Days in Ashland, WI (My hometown) the night of Saturday the 18th. It is a Battle of the Bands event, so anyone in the area that shows up will be helping me out a lot! :) I need the support.

The following day, I will be performing SOLO at 1 p.m.! Be there and enjoy the (hopefully) nice weather!

That's all for now, so stay tuned and keep checking in to see what's going on.

I have also posted a newer version of my song "Dueling Hearts" on my page, so feel free to check that out.

More soon,

Nate

Off to Cdbaby!

Hei All!

So, I'm writing a short message to tell everyone that I just sent off my first CD to be posted for Digital Download on Cdbaby's website! It should be up there within a month or so and then it will also be available on iTunes and other digital resources! I'll let you know when, but I'm very excited for this!

It's my first EP which is titled, "In the Shade of Doubt", so I hope you all have had a chance to hear some of the songs already and will be up for purchasing it! That way, I can keep working on the newer songs that I am hoping to put out on a full length LP! :D

Thanks for the constant support all and keep up the wonderful comments!

Take care until next time!

Casual Crisis

Hei readers, (assuming anyone reads this)

There has been a lot happening in the world of Nathan Parent! Two weeks ago, I opened for two fantastic, Minneapolis based groups in Washburn, Wi at Stage North! I was accompanied by my two good friends Eric Doane and Wilson Holzhaeuser and we put on a smashing show! The video evidence is here: http://www.youtube.com/homey33 After we were done, we were followed by Chris Koza Band (http://www.myspace.com/chriskozaband) and Sick of Sarah (http://www.myspace.com/sickofsarah) and we were all blown away! Each group put on a fantastic show and I am proud to be able to say that I opened for them! :)

The week before that show, I was able to pen a new song titled "Casual Crisis" and it's shaping up to be a pretty cool song. Eric, Wilson, and I performed that one for the first time live on the 5th and I put the video on my youtube account. So, feel free to check it out. I hope to lay it down in the studio soon!

As for my recordings, I have nine songs now that I have mastered and ready for sale! All I have to do is send them into CDbaby and they will be up for digital download! :) Be prepared for that within the next few months. They will be on what I am now calling the "In the Shade of Doubt EP!" :D I'm excited to share this all with you and you can listen to a few of the songs on my Myspace. (http://www.myspace.com/nathanparent)

Other than that stuff, I have been working a lot and booking gigs. I should have more to say next time.

Take care and enjoy the world!

Fooling Our Senses!

Hei there!

I have been very busy and I can't even begin to explain why, but be assured, I'm working hard on many things. I performed live at my place of work the other week and I had a nice turn out considering there was a blizzard that day! I recorded the whole show with the help of my wonderful sound engineer/friend, Ryan Rusch! I should have some new tracks to share soon and an EP on the way!

As of tonight, I have recorded a new song that I plan to have a special friend help me with! I won't spoil the surprise just yet, but I will direct you to their myspace page:

My Partner in Musical Crime

Rest assured, the song is going to blow your mind!!!! Haha!

I think that is enough for now, but I hope you will continue to check in and I will promise to have a link to purchase some of my music soon!

Take care and enjoy the coming Spring!

A Few Songs to Sell!

Hei all,

I just got home from the studio and I have five mastered songs with me! :) I have a gig on Thursday that I'm getting ready for, so I finally got a few songs finished so I can sell them to my wonderful fans.

I don't have much to say now, but I will have a lot more as the month ends!

More later,

Nate

Finding Shows.

Hei Everyone!

I'm sitting around today, waiting to go to work and I thought I'd post something. I've been working on setting up gigs lately and I still have a lot to figure out. Currently, I have two shows lined up here in my local area and I have a number of venues I have yet to call. I feel pretty excited, because it's a nice step forward for me to be able to have more experience playing live after being in Bergen for an entire month. I think I will be much more confident in my abilities and I hope that translates here in the U.S.! :)

For now, however, I am going to get ready for work!

More to come soon,

Nate
